Interblock holds ‘G5’ summit at G2E Asia

Slovenian casino equipment brand Interblock DD displayed its new G5 range of electronic table game (ETG) platforms at Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2014 in Macau.

The new G5 Play Station with 21-inch liquid crystal display (pictured) offers a range of enhancements from the G4 series aside from a wider screen. Those include illuminated armrests, what the company describes as “a faster and more powerfully embedded graphic engine” and from the casino operator’s perspective, easier access for maintenance. Additionally Interblock says the new ergonomically designed and pitched player console is designed to maximise player comfort.

“G2E Asia 2014 has been a great success for Interblock as a global brand. The opportunity to showcase our latest G5 range of innovative multiplayer gaming machines products at this gateway to Asian gaming has shown tremendous potential,” said Quyen Pham, sales director Asia at Interblock Asia Pacific.

One product at this year’s show was the G5 Dice – a fully automated ETG product that can deliver dice games for either sic bo or craps.

Interblock says each dice is evenly weighted and equipped with a unique radio frequency identification microchip capable of reading and displaying the results of each roll. Two or three dice can be placed in one centre unit and are shuffled by the vibrating table. Once shuffled, the detection boards beneath the vibration table report on which side each dice has landed. Interblock says this – and a carefully calibrated vibration table, to ensure die land flat on the table – can assure fast and “100 percent reliable” detection.

The firm says the dice generator enables between 60 and 80 results per hour – significantly above the 40 results per hour minimum speed typically found with live dealer sic bo.

Another crowd pleaser at G2E Asia was the Interblock Hologram Gaming Lounge, which had its Asian premiere at this year’s trade event. The technology had its world launch to a selected audience at G2E in Las Vegas in October 2012.

“We wanted to show the Macau market that it is one of the most important regions to our organisation. The customer response was outstanding and they believe we are one of the most innovative vendors in the gaming industry today and for years to come,” said Tom O’Brien, chief executive officer at Interblock USA LC.

Union Gaming Research Macau Ltd said on Wednesday in an annual report on the regional segment for electronic table games that Interblock is one of six brands that together control more than 90 percent of the Asian market for ETGs.
