Italy’s Abbiati Casino Equipment Srl showed off some of its latest casino currency technology at the recent Global Gaming Expo (Asia) 2019, a casino industry trade show and conference held in Macau.
The products included its “Tie” model range of chips, featuring holograms as security features.
Examples are what are referred to as “value chips” in the Tie model range, and known as “Value Tie Holo-Prismatic” (item pictured).
Hologram effects within the product “are an additional security feature because their reproduction is very difficult, almost impossible,” said Giorgio Abbiati, the firm’s chief executive, in commentary for GGRAsia.
“The holographic effect is created with translucent holographic fractals on the decal of the chip and to reproduce the structure of this effect is impossible,” he stated.
The company is privately owned by the Abbiati family and is based in Turin, Italy. Abbiati Casino Equipment has been in business for more than 30 years, according to its corporate website.
