LT Game focused in expanding reach of its LMG product, eyes 1Q26 for Black Coral launch

Macau-based gaming technology provider LT Game Ltd says it plans to continue developing new functions and features for its live multi-game (LMG) product, in order to expand its reach across regulated gaming markets. That is according to comment by two senior representatives in an interview with GGRAsia.

The plan to expand markets for its LMG product is notwithstanding a recent ruling from a Macau court that a key patent the firm holds for its flagship product in Macau “must be declared null and void“. LT Game says it is appealing the ruling.

Based on that patent known as “I/380” – which refers to product with multiple terminals for electronic casino table games served by a human dealer –, LT Game has been the sole provider of LMG systems and terminals in Macau for a number of years.

The company – via a unit – applied for the patent in October 2006, with the registration set to expire in October next year, according to the relevant document reviewed by GGRAsia.

LT Game, meanwhile, says it is “ready” for any eventual competition in the LMG segment. “We kept on developing new features and patenting them for our LMG system. This year alone, we are having 10 or more additional patents for it,” stated the LT Game’s chief operating officer, Eddie Au (pictured), in comments to GGRAsia.

The brand has dedicated efforts to developing new patented features that seek not only to enhance the gaming experience for players, but also improve the table yield for casino operators. That is according to Leo Chan, chief financial officer of Hong Kong-listed Paradise Entertainment Ltd, the parent of LT Game.

“Other suppliers may explore the ‘multi-game, multi-terminal’ patent and develop their own LMG. But we have many other inherent features [to the LMG product] that are protected by patents,” Mr Chan added.

He stated: “I think we still have a leading technology [regarding the LMG system], so we are not that worried.”

A key project in LT Game’s LMG system is a new software branded “Black Coral”, which the company demonstrated in November 2024. LT Game expects officially to launch Black Coral in the first quarter of 2026, Mr Au told GGRAsia.

Some major features of Black Coral – which is said to feature artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities – include the ability to make available various sets of baccarat game statistics that help players in their wagering decisions. They include what the firm characterises as emergent frequency of past baccarat side bet wins; and an alert to players when certain perceived ‘trends’ emerge.

One new patented feature with Black Coral is to link data on perceived baccarat betting ‘trends’ with the betting outcomes of ‘lucky’ and ‘unlucky’ players in such a stadium setup. This is via a display that is anonymised to protect player privacy, and aims to provide a fresh reference point designed to help players in their betting decisions, according to the LT Game COO.

“Black Coral has incorporated some past feedback from [casino] operators on our existing LMG product. Operators wish to see players being able to switch faster to their desired table, and with Black Coral, it just requires one click,” Mr Au explained.

For casino operators, Black Coral helps analyse players’ behaviour, and recommends optimisation of the baccarat play’s parameters, such as wager time and bet limit.

Black Coral is compatible with some of the company’s earlier products, but LT Game says it is better suited for the firm’s new SpeedWave cabinet. The Black Coral system is now in the final stages of development and will soon be ready for operators to preview it, Mr Au said.

Growing demand

LT Game expects a growing demand for its LMG product in its home market of Macau, as an increase in gross gaming revenue (GGR) generated from this play segment continues to outpace market-wide performance, observed the two executives.

In the first half of 2025, GGR generated by LMGs in Macau reached MOP2.48 billion (US$309.1 million), a 22.8-percent year-on-year increase. The city’s market-wide GGR stood at MOP118.77 billion in the six months to June 30, up 4.4 percent from a year earlier, according to information from Macau’s casino regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

LT Game said it sold more than 1,400 LMG terminals in 2024, resulting in an “exceptional” performance for the company, noted Paradise Entertainment’s CFO. “I don’t think 2024 already hit a ceiling [in terms of sales] – though 2024 was exceptional because we had a large order” for the group’s LMG product, he added.

“The demand for our LMG still exists, be it via new instalments or replacements, as our new features for LMG can help enhance the product’s performance and revenue,” Mr Chan told GGRAsia.

The CFO said that rising costs associated with operating traditional gaming tables in Macau – especially regarding an increase in wages – would eventually lead casino operators to consider converting some traditional gaming tables for electronic play featuring a LMG stadium.

“The advantage of LMG in Macau is with its quota system: we are not under the gaming machine cap [at 12,000 units marketwide], meaning our terminals are not counted under that cap,” remarked Mr Chan. “This offers operators greater flexibility in terms of configuring their gaming tables, and potentially representes more LMG placements.”

The wide adoption of baccarat side bets in the Macau market could also boost revenue generated from LMGs, Mr Au suggested.

“With the [baccarat] side bets, it raises the issue of how to generate more revenue from the existing [LMG] machines. Operators are also constantly adjusting the parameters, such as bet limits and wager speed,” added the LT Game COO.

Mr Au said the company was in the “final” stage of testing the baccarat side bets “Lucky 7” and “Super Lucky 7” for their LMG product, before filing next month for regulatory approval in Macau. The Lucky 7 and Super Lucky 7 side bets have been featured at traditional table play in the Macau market since October last year.

Outside Macau, LT Game is looking at Singapore and Australia for expanding its LMG footprint.

“Singapore is a perfect fit for LMG, considering their players’ preferences … and the market’s understanding of the product is deep,” Mr Au said, adding that LT Game was currently going through the licensing process in Singapore for its LMG product.
