International Game Technology Plc (IGT) has appointed Mark Wadley (pictured) as president of the group’s land-based gaming.
He will lead “an integrated, end-to-end gaming business spanning product, commercial, and operational functions,” said a Monday press release.
Mr Wadley’s previous experience includes working as chief marketing officer at Aristocrat Gaming, the land-based business of slot specialist Aristocrat Leisure Ltd.
Hector Fernandez, IGT’s chief executive, said of the new recruit: “Mark is a proven leader with a deep understanding of how to connect product, customer insight and commercial execution to drive performance.”
He added: “As we continue to strengthen our gaming business, bringing these capabilities together under one leader is a critical step in improving how we operate and deliver for our customers. Mark’s experience will help us accelerate that progress.”
Mr Wadley will oversee global sales, product management, field services, manufacturing, marketing, external communications, and government relations. He will report to Mr Fernandez
Earlier this month, Ankur Sharma was named IGT senior sales director, Asia, following his departure from Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands casino resort, where he had worked as associate director – casino product development.
In March it was reported that IGT was to reduce its global workforce by approximately 700 employees.
