Casino sales at Paradise Co Ltd rose 23.0 percent year-on-year to KRW75.67 billion (US$54.6 million) in July, according to a Monday filing to the Korea Exchange. Measured sequentially, the July tally declined by 6.3 percent.
The company’s table-game sales in July were KRW71.39 billion, down 6.1 percent from June, but up 25.1 percent year-on-year.
Machine-game sales last month declined 4.2 percent year-on-year, to about KRW4.28 billion. Such tally was also down 10.1 percent sequentially.
The company is an operator in South Korea of foreigner-only casinos, including a venture at Paradise City in Incheon, done jointly with Japanese entertainment conglomerate Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.
Paradise Co also runs gaming at Walkerhill, Seoul, as well as in the southern port city of Busan, and at a venue on the semi-autonomous holiday island of Jeju.
The July figures took Paradise’s aggregate casino sales for the first seven months of 2025 to nearly KRW531.32 billion, up 10.2 percent year-on-year.
Accumulated table drop for the seven months to July 31 – the amount paid by customers to purchase gaming chips at tables – stood at nearly KRW4.11 trillion, up 3.5 percent year-on-year, according to Monday’s filing.
Paradise Co’s second-quarter casino sales had reached KRW229.79 billion, up by 2.6 percent from the first quarter and 7.1 percent year-on-year, according to the company’s supplementary financial data published on its official website. In the second quarter, the casino operator had seen year-on-year growth only in the gaming venues of Paradise City and Jeju Grand.
In March the casino firm said it aimed to boost its revenue “by more than 10 percent” annually through to 2027, under a “plan to increase corporate value” for investors.
