“Double Down After Split” is an update now being offered by iGaming content provider Pragmatic Play Ltd across its blackjack products.
The update allows players to split their initial pair and double their bet on one or both resulting hands, which provides “more strategic options and increased win potential” for players, according to a Tuesday press release.
The Double Down After Split option is available on all Pragmatic Play blackjack titles, including its classic “Blackjack”, “Speed Blackjack”, and “Privé Lounge Blackjack”.
The firm says that when players opt to use Double Down After Split with blackjack basic strategy, “they benefit from a higher return to player (RTP) – up to 99.59 percent in some variations”.
That is on the basis that “more decision-making opportunities become available to them alongside the chance to boost their winnings,” said the brand.
Double Down After Split is described as part of a wider user interface (UI) update being rolled out across Pragmatic Play’s premium blackjack products.
That includes “a sleek new look and feel, larger video display area, streamlined pre-decision flow for optimised gameplay, and much more,” according to the statement.
Irina Cornides, chief operating officer at Pragmatic Play, was cited as saying: “At Pragmatic Play, we aim to create player favourites, and Double Down After Split is no exception.”
“Offering more choice and better odds, coupled with a new UI and high-quality dealers and studios, we are proud to deliver a superior blackjack product in the market,” she added.
