Malaysian casino equipment supplier and distributor RGB International Bhd has redesignated board member Chuah Hui Jing (pictured in a file photo) as an executive director, effective July 3, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Ms Chuah, 32, had previously served as a non-executive director on the company’s board. The filing did not specify any additional responsibilities associated with her new executive role.
In a recent interview with GGRAsia, Ms Chuah said that RGB International had secured licences from the gaming regulator in the Philippines as both a gaming content provider affiliate and a game aggregator, marking the group’s entry into the country’s regulated online gaming segment.
She described the approvals as an important step in broadening the company’s presence beyond its traditional land-based gaming equipment business.
According to the disclosure, Ms Chuah is the daughter of RGB International managing director and major shareholder, Chuah Kim Seah.
The company said she has no conflict of interest with the listed issuer and holds no interest in the securities of RGB International or its subsidiaries.
RGB International is a supplier of gaming machines, electronic gaming products and technical support services, with operations across a multiple gaming markets in Asia. The company also distributes products from a number of international gaming equipment manufacturers.
In late May, RGB International reported first-quarter profit attributable to the owners of just under MYR9.1 million (US$2.2 million currently), on revenue that was up 18.8 percent from a year earlier, at nearly MYR87.4 million.
