Macau casino concessionaire Sands China Ltd says it has provided financial support to two “signature” events by Caritas Macau: the Charity Bazaar and the Charity Run.
“This year’s MOP300,000 (US$37,466) donation marks the 22nd consecutive year that Sands China has donated to Caritas Macau to support its operations,” stated the casino firm in a press release.
“As in years past, the Sands Cares Ambassador volunteer team joined both events, in hopes of raising public awareness of community services and spreading warmth in the community,” the company added.
As per the announcement, Sands China donated MOP100,000 to support the 2025 Charity Run, and MOP200,000 for the 56th Charity Bazaar.

The company said a total of 100 Sands Cares Ambassadors and family members ran a game booth between November 1 and 2 at the bazaar, whose theme this year was “Care and Cherish Each Other. Bring Happiness to All”.
All proceeds from the booth were “donated to Caritas Macau, without deducting costs,” stated the casino operator.
The announcement cited Wilfred Wong Ying Wai, executive vice chairman of Sands China, as saying that Sands China was “privileged” to contribute to Macau’s “community’s development and care for its vulnerable groups”.
“It is … a pleasure for Sands China to participate in Caritas Macau’s Charity Run and Charity Bazaar each year, promoting community inclusion through concrete action,” he added.
Sands China said it began its annual donations to Caritas Macau in 2004. The funds go to supporting the operational expenses of Caritas Macau and the social services it provides the community, the firm noted.
Paul Pun Chi Meng, secretary-general of Caritas Macau, thanked Sands China for its support, adding that the company “demonstrated full commitment to philanthropy”.
“All proceeds raised from this year’s Charity Bazaar will be fully allocated to launching and enhancing our non-subsidised social services, with the aim of providing more appropriate support to vulnerable groups, the elderly, and families in need,” Mr Pun stated in prepared remarks.
