Grant Chum Kwan Lock, chief executive and president of Macau casino operator Sands China Ltd, is to give a keynote address on the first day of Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2026, a casino trade show and conference to be held at The Venetian Macao property next month.
G2E Asia 2026 will run from May 12 to May 14 inclusive. The event is organised by RX (Reed Exhibitions), and presented by the American Gaming Association.
Mr Chum joined the parent group Las Vegas Sands Corp in 2013 as senior vice president, global gaming strategy, and served as chief of staff from March 2015 to February 2020. Prior to joining the group, Mr Chum spent 14 years at UBS Investment Bank in a variety of roles, including serving as managing director, head of Hong Kong equity research and head of China equity research.
Other speakers at the conference include leading financial analysts who will discuss on May 12 afternoon the topic: “Financial Outlook for Asia’s IR Boom”. That panel will feature: George Choi, head of global gaming research/regional conglomerates at Citi Research; Praveen Choudhary, managing director and head of Asian gaming & lodging at Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd; and Vitaly Umansky, senior research analyst – global gaming at Seaport Research Partners.
Also on the first day of the vent, Michael Grimes, a principal at GGRAsia, will moderate a panel featuring senior industry executives on the topic: “Marketplaces in Motion”. It will cover topics including younger gaming patrons and their preferences; and explore how digital innovation is reshaping customer experiences.
Scheduled to join that panel are: Kenneth Feng Xiaofeng, CEO and an executive director at Macau operator MGM China Holdings Ltd; Gregory Hawkins, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Philippines-based casino operator Bloomberry Resorts Corp; and Walt Power, CEO of the Grand Ho Tram Resort in Vietnam.
On day two, a panel titled “How Technology Might Shape Gaming’s Future” will see an in-depth discussion between Ken Jolly, vice president and managing director for Asia at Light & Wonder Inc; Shaun McCamley, founder and chairman of GameWorkz; and Kurt Gissane, chief revenue officer at Aristocrat Gaming. The session will be moderated by Niall Murray, chairman and CEO of Murray International (Macau).
Another session that same morning will focus on “Optimising the Casino Floor Mix”. It features Clayton Peister, managing director at Hex Gaming; David Croft, senior vice president for gaming optimisation and strategy at Tangam Systems; and Aaron Raj, chief technology officer at Angel Australasia
Earlier this month, RX said it expected the visitor volume for the latest G2E Asia and the concurrent Asian IR Expo, would be up a third year-on-year at 8,000-plus.
