Sightline Payments LLC, a fintech firm specialising in payments for the regulated gaming industry, says its new “Sightline Debit” product has been launched via the BetRivers sportsbook and casino platform, run by Rush Street Interactive.

Branded “BetRivers Debit”, it is described as a white-label version of Sightline Debit, that “transforms how customers access and use their funds,” said a Tuesday press release from Sightline.

“With this frictionless and customer-centric solution, BetRivers customers gain instant access to their available wagering balance anytime, anywhere and anyway, eliminating the need to repeatedly withdraw and redeposit,” the company added.

The announcement said Rush Street Interactive expected the new payment product to “help reduce churn and the high payment costs that accompany it”.

In late August, Sightline announced the launch of Sightline Debit, described as a product that provides a “frictionless, customer-centric experience that streamlines both spending and wagering”.

Sightline Debit was developed in collaboration with Cross River Bank, a supplier to fintech and technology companies. Cross River is a subsidiary of banking services firm, CRB Group Inc.

The update cited Omer Sattar, co-founder and chief executive of Sightline Payments, as saying that it made “so much sense” for his company to launch Sightline Debit with Rush Street Interactive, as the latter “strives to be first-to-market with innovations”.

He added: “Backed by our partnerships with Cross River Bank, this solution gives customers freedom and flexibility to use their funds when they want, where they want, all while dramatically reducing the cost of payments.”

Richard Schwartz, CEO of Rush Street Interactive, said the launch of the debit payments product marked “a major step forward in enhancing the BetRivers experience”.

He added: “We’re proud that our team helped shape this innovative payment solution in close collaboration with Sightline, further underscoring Rush Street Interactive’s leadership in delivering cutting-edge technologies that elevate the player experience.”

The announcement noted that BetRiver’s initial rollout of the debit payments product in New York marked “the first step in a broader expansion”.

“Sightline and Rush Street Interactive look forward to bringing this innovative solution to additional jurisdictions across the U.S. in the coming months,” it added.
