Visitor arrivals to Singapore reached nearly 3.29 million in the summer months of July and August, representing an increase of 4.7 percent year-on-year, showed the latest statistics from the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The city-state recorded 1.68 million arrivals in July, and 1.61 million in August. The July tally marked the highest monthly figure so far this year, according to STB data.
Out of the 3.29 million visitor arrivals recorded in July and August, circa 76.7 percent – or 2.50 million – were overnight visitors, up 2 percent from the prior-year period.
Average stay length measured of all visitors across those two month stood at 3.55 days, down by 3.5 percent year-on-year.
China remained the top visitor source for the city-state during July and August.
In those two months, Singapore received a total of 812,690 visitors from China, flat from a year ago. The average stay length of visitors from China stood at 3.81 days across the two months, down 4.1 percent from a year earlier.
The other top two feeder markets during July and August were Indonesia (386,360) and Australia (206,430).
Singapore’s aggregate inbound visitor volume in the first eight months this year stood at 11.62 million, a 2.7-percent increase from a year ago.
STB said previously that it expected the city-state’s 2025 full-year visitor arrivals to reach between 17.0 million and 18.5 million, bringing in approximately SGD29.0 billion (US$22.6 billion) to SGD30.5 billion in tourism receipts.
