SJM Resorts Ltd, the Macau casino operating unit of Hong Kong-listed SJM Holdings Ltd, held in mid-November a closing event and appreciation ceremony for its “SJM Responsible Gaming Promotion 2025” initiative.

“The ceremony showcased the achievements of SJM’s responsible gaming promotion efforts throughout the year, while expressing gratitude to collaborating community organisations and schools,” stated the casino firm.

“It also recognised team members who actively contributed to responsible gaming initiatives, collectively supporting the sustainable and healthy development of Macau’s integrated tourism and leisure industry,” the company added.

The announcement cited Daisy Ho Chiu Fung, managing director of SJM Resorts, as saying that the company has been actively supporting the Macau government’s initiatives to promote responsible gaming.

In 2025, the SJM group had strengthened further its collaborations with social service organisations and educational institutions, by organising a diverse range of activities, she added.

SJM Resorts said it organised throughout 2025 “professional training sessions; on-site information booths and counselling services; gaming tournaments; poster exhibitions; community flash mob roadshows; and carnivals”.

“The initiatives collectively attracted approximately 44,000 participant attendances,” it added.

The company said it “placed particular emphasis” on engaging “with youth demographics”. In addition to organising the “RG Funny Tournament with Zero-Spending in Mobile Game”, the firm also arranged seminars and interactive booth games within local Macau schools to promote the concepts of “financial responsibility” among students.

SJM Resorts also said it “significantly intensified its community outreach and engagement efforts” during the year.

The casino group added that it provided its employees with a “structured programme of responsible gaming training”. It included lectures, refresher courses, and specialised sessions, as well as workshops.

“In total, these initiatives provided nearly 6,000 participant attendances,” stated the firm.
