Casino ticket printer and player management software provider TransAct Technologies Inc has announced that the firm’s executive vice president for sales and marketing, Andrew Newmark, is retiring with effect from December 31.
“The company has promoted an existing member of its sales team to the position [of] vice president, global sales to address Mr Newmark’s responsibilities,” TransAct said in a Thursday filing. The firm did not identify the person who would replace Mr Newmark.
Mr Newmark joined TransAct in January 2015. Prior to that, he was active as an investor and entrepreneur, supporting a number of venture capital and private equity-backed businesses. From November 2005 to March 2009, Mr Newmark served as vice president of business development for the technology division of what is today Newell Brands Inc.
TransAct reported in November casino and gaming equipment sales of US$5.1 million for the third quarter of 2017 down by 8.9 percent from the prior-year period. This was the third consecutive quarter of casino and gaming equipment sales decline for TransAct as measured in year-on-year terms.
