The Winford Hotel and Casino – operated by a subsidiary of the Manila Jockey Club Inc – hosted its official opening ceremony on Friday. The property had a soft opening in January 2016.
The project is located within the San Lazaro Tourism and Business Park, in Metro Manila, in the Philippines.
Its casino (pictured) features two floors dedicated to slot machines, mass table games and other forms of betting including sports betting. The third floor is dedicated to VIP gambling. The casino also includes an Asia Poker Tour-branded poker room, located in the second floor.
Winford’s hotel features a total of 128 rooms.
The project cost PHP8 billion (US$160.9 million), according to a report from the BusinessMirror newspaper.
“I’m so very happy to see the [Manila Jockey Club] is truthfully adhering to the new policy of Pagcor [the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp, the country’s regulator], which is to encourage integrated resort casinos, rather than just concentrate on gaming or on the casino portion,” Andrea D. Domingo, chairman of Pagcor, said during the opening of the project as quoted by BusinessMirror.
The Winford Hotel and Casino includes a Japanese-style spa, a heated pool, a fitness area, a bar with concert stage, and several food and beverage outlets.
The BusinessMirror report stated Winford’s casino had capacity for a total of 600 slot machines and 110 gaming tables.
