Macau casino operator Wynn Macau Ltd has recruited 67 trainees under its “Wynn Local Development Program 2025”.

The development scheme has been conducted in collaboration with the city’s Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) since 2023. It offers professional-skills training and “career development platforms” for local residents and fresh graduates.

On December 12, the firm held a commencement ceremony for the new intake of trainees, in the Grand Theater at Wynn Palace in Cotai.

At the same event, there was a graduation ceremony (pictured below) for 28 young people from the 2024 intake of the firm’s development programme. Chan Un Tong, DSAL’s director, was among the guests at the joint gathering.

Wynn Macau Ltd said the overall effort was about “continuously cultivating industry talent to facilitate adequate economic diversification” in Macau.

Stephanie So, senior vice president of human resources at Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, was cited saying in a press release: “The Wynn Local Development Program saw a surge in the number of interested participants this year compared to last year, which reflects the local talent’s enthusiasm and aspiration for hospitality and service industries.”

She added: “We will continue to work closely with DSAL and invest more training resources to further enhance our talent development system, thus creating long-term career development opportunities for local talent and supporting the sustainable growth of tourism in Macau.”
