The Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association, the main organiser of Macao Gaming Show 2014, says November’s event will be bigger than last year’s.
The group says the first edition in 2013 attracted 102 exhibitors and more than 8,600 visitors. The exhibition floor covered 7,887 square metres (84,895 sq feet). This year the Macao Gaming Show 2014 will have a floor area of more than 10,000 sq m.
The theme of this year’s edition, held from November 18 to 20 inclusive, will be “By Asia for the world”. The event is described by the organisers as Macau’s first big homegrown gaming business show.
Confirmed exhibitors include: International Game Technology; Aristocrat Leisure Ltd; Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd; TCS John Huxley; LT Game Ltd and JCM Global.
The organisers say one of the strengths of Macao Gaming Show 2013 was having most of Macau’s main junket operators exhibiting. These enterprises bring high-rollers to Macau to gamble, and account for around 60 percent of the city’s casino gaming revenue. Some junkets are again exhibiting this year.
The trade show will cover six business segments: gaming equipment and accessories; gaming promoters (i.e. junkets) and VIP clubs; casino fixtures and fittings; promotional services and memorabilia; food and beverage, and entertainment and performance services.
