Hann Foundation Inc says it has helped restore the historic Holy Rosary Parish, a church in Angeles City, a two-hour drive from the Philippines capital, Manila.

Hann Foundation is the corporate social responsibility arm of Hann Philippines Inc, the developer of Hann Resorts in Clark, in Pampanga, that is the home of Clark International Airport.

According to a press release by Hann Foundation, the Holy Rosary Parish (pictured) was built between 1877 and 1909, becoming a “significant landmark” for the local community. The church was damaged in a 2019 earthquake and had to be restored, with Hann Foundation contributing PHP5 million (US$85,937) to the effort.

“The restoration focused on four key areas of the church: the Chapel of Devotion, the Baptistry, the Confessionals, and the Narthex Gallery of Saints,” said the foundation.

“The culmination of these efforts was celebrated on January 31, 2025, with an official turnover ceremony at the newly restored church,” it added.

The announcement cited Ana Christi Galura, Hann Foundation’s executive director, as saying: “Hann Foundation Inc is committed to preserving and upholding our cultural heritage … We thank Holy Rosary Parish for trusting us and giving us the opportunity to be their partner in this endeavour.”

Hilana Roman, president of the Parish Pastoral Council of the Holy Rosary Parish, said in prepared remarks that the organisation was “grateful to the Hann Foundation for choosing us as partner in restoring the significant areas of the Holy Rosary Parish Church”.

In its latest statement, Hann Foundation also announced that a turnover ceremony of the Museo Ning Angeles ‘CULINARIUM’ on Thursday (February 13).

The project, said the foundation, signifies its “dedication to preserving and celebrating Angeles City’s rich culinary heritage”.

The Museo Ning Angeles ‘CULINARIUM’ will serve as a “valuable community resource,” offering a space for education, appreciation, and the continuation of local culinary traditions, according to the release.
