Aristocrat Gaming will host on Friday (March 7) its second annual gaming industry International Women’s Day (IWD) event in the Philippine capital, Manila. The programme “is designed to engage and inspire in honour of International Women’s Day,” stated Aristocrat Gaming, the land-based business segment of Aristocrat Leisure Ltd.
The event features a keynote address by Wilma Eisma, president and chief operating officer of the country’s gaming regulator, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (Pagcor).
A panel discussion with some of the women leading the Philippine casino sector is also one of the highlights of the event.
The International Women’s Day panel is scheduled to feature (from left to right): Vina Claudette Oca, assistant vice president – gaming licensing and development at Pagcor; Hui Jing Chuah, executive director at Malaysian casino equipment supplier and distributor RGB International Bhd; and Liway V. Alba, director of gaming operations at the Hann Casino Resort in Clark.
Moderated by Kimmi Siu Dewar, marketing director Asia at Aristocrat Gaming, the panel is set to “discuss the evolving role of women in leadership in Asia,” said the gaming technology supplier.
The programme also includes a fireside chat between Lloyd Robson, vice president for sales and operations Asia for Aristocrat Gaming, and Benjamin Romualdez, president of the Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
The company said the discussion will promote insights into “practical strategies for advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace”.
The press release cited Mr Robson as saying: “It’s exciting to be back in Manila for our second International Women’s Day event.”
He added: “We look forward to hearing from our exceptional line-up of speakers on the importance of creating opportunities where all voices are heard, valued, and empowered to drive meaningful change.”
