Ben Toh Hup Hock, chief operating officer (COO) of SJM Resorts Ltd, the SJM Holdings Ltd’s entity holding a Macau gaming concession, is to retire from his position in mid-May. The information was confirmed to GGRAsia by company sources, citing an internal memo to the group’s employees.
Mr Toh (pictured) was appointed COO of SJM Resorts in December 2023. Prior to that, he had been serving as chief financial officer of SJM Holdings since January 1, 2021.
Mr Toh helped the SJM group launch, in July 2021, its flagship property in Cotai, the Grand Lisboa Palace.
The sources stated that Mr Toh will continue to assist the company as a consultant.
Aside the Grand Lisboa Palace resort, the SJM group operates the Grand Lisboa, its main casino hotel on Macau peninsula, as well as smaller venues.
