Leading figures from the gaming sector in Asia-Pacific have been named as members of the advisory board for the Thai Entertainment Complex Summit 2025, an industry event to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 18 to 20.
By then, a bill to legalise “entertainment complexes”, each with a casino, might have had a formal reading in the Thai parliament. July has been mentioned as a target by the members of the current coalition government.
November’s event is presented by Winna Media, founded by gaming industry events expert Ros Wade. It will be the second edition, with the inaugural summit in the Thai capital last December.
The latest edition has on its advisory panel Ed Bowers, president for global development for MGM Resorts International and president and chief executive of MGM Resorts Japan, a partner in Japan’s first casino resort, MGM Osaka, due to open in 2030.
Also on the advisory body for the summit is Steven Wolstenholme, independent director at Asian Coast Development Ltd. The latter is promoter of The Grand Ho Tram casino resort in Vietnam. Mr Wolstenholme is a former president and CEO of Hoiana Resort & Golf, in Vietnam.
David Rittvo, managing director, Asian development, for industry consultancy The Innovation Group, is also on the summit’s advisory panel.
Also on the panel are: Lau Kok Keng, head of intellectual property, sports and gaming, at law firm Rajah & Tann; Susan Hensel, co-founder and partner at Hensel Grad P.C. and a former director of licensing for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board in the United States; and Paul Volodarsky, partner and regional head for real estate and hospitality – with expertise in the markets of Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia – at law firm DFDL.
Other members of the advisory board are: Kelly Gass, president at San Marco Capital Partners; Ben Kiatkwankul, partner and co-founder of Maverick Consulting Group; and Paul Scales, executive chairman at Real Estate Access Thailand Ltd.
