Casino sales at Paradise Co Ltd rose 11.7 percent year-on-year to KRW80.45 billion (US$57.7 million) in August, according to a Tuesday filing with the Korea Exchange. Measured sequentially, the August tally increased by 7.0 percent.

August was the fourth consecutive month in which Paradise Co reported year-on-year increases in casino sales. In July, the firm’s casino sales went up by 23.0 percent year-on-year to KRW75.67 billion.

The company’s table-game sales in August were KRW76.01 billion, up 7.2 percent from July and a 12.9 percent increase in year-on-year terms.

Machine-game sales last month declined 5.8 percent year-on-year to just under KRW4.45 billion. That tally was, however, up 3.9 percent sequentially.

The company operates foreigner-only casinos in South Korea, including a venture at Paradise City in Incheon, jointly run with Japanese entertainment conglomerate Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.

Paradise Co also operates gaming facilities at Walkerhill in Seoul, in the southern port city of Busan, and on the semi-autonomous holiday island of Jeju.

The August figures took Paradise Co’s aggregate casino sales for the first eight months of 2025 to KRW610.74 billion, up 10.2 percent year-on-year.

Accumulated table drop for the eight months to August 31 – the amount paid by customers to purchase gaming chips at tables – stood at nearly KRW4.77 trillion, up 2.7 percent year-on-year, according to Tuesday’s filing.

Paradise Co reported last month net income attributable to shareholders of KRW20.88 billion for the second quarter of 2025, a 43.5 percent increase from a year earlier.

Second-quarter earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 18.7 percent year-on-year to KRW61.60 billion.

The casino firm has plans to increase its revenue “by more than 10 percent” annually through to 2027. That is part of its “plan to increase corporate value” for investors – referred to by Paradise Co as its “Value Up” plan, according to a statement issued earlier this year by the casino group.
