Aristocrat Gaming, the land-based casino technology segment of Aristocrat Leisure Ltd, has launched “Monopoly Big Board Bucks” as its first such board-game themed slot title. The slot machine maker said in July it had gained a licence to develop “Monopoly”-themed slot games from the rights holder Hasbro Inc.
The new product (pictured) was previewed at Global Gaming Expo (G2E), in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the United States, according to a Tuesday statement from Aristocrat Gaming. The casino trade show and conference runs from October 7 to 9.
Craig Toner, chief executive of Aristocrat Gaming, was cited as saying: “Monopoly is one of the most globally-recognised brands, and we wanted to ensure that Aristocrat’s take on the licence evoked both excitement and familiarity for players.”
He stated: “Monopoly Big Board Bucks brings dynamic visuals and sounds – synonymous with the board game – together with innovative hardware, game mechanics, and excitement that Aristocrat is known for.
“We can’t wait to see the impact this game will make on casino floors next year,” Mr Toner added.
As per the update, Monopoly Big Board Bucks is likely to be introduced on casino floors in North America in early 2026. It will be on The Baron Portrait cabinet and Aristocrat Gaming pledges the product will include “never-before-seen configuration and signage options”.
Claire Hunter Gregson, director of gaming relationship at Hasbro, was quoted stating: “Being a part of the grand unveiling of Monopoly Big Board Bucks at G2E reinforces our decision to partner with Aristocrat Gaming to bring fresh, bold ways to connect our brand to adult audiences.”
Hasbro is a United States-based toy manufacturing and entertainment holding company.
Monopoly Big Board Bucks is said to make use of public nostalgia for the board game itself. The slot game has elements including player-selectable game tokens, a Mr Monopoly character, ‘Free Parking’, houses and hotels, and a representation of the board itself.
Players will be offered Aristocrat Gaming’s “triple metamorphic gameplay”, with ‘Extra Spins’, ‘Extra Properties’, and ‘Extra Houses’.
“These metamorphic features lead to the Big Board Bucks Bonus, and may be awarded individually, in pairs, or all together to enhance the bonus,” said Aristocrat Gaming in its update.
Any of those triggers will lead to the Big Board Bucks Bonus. In it, players have the chance to trigger rewards around the game board and land money bags, properties, houses, and hotels, Free Parking, and even the ‘GO’ Jackpot Wheel, stated Aristocrat Gaming.
The maker said there’s also a fourth metamorphic with Free Games that will trigger once a meter bar has been filled.
