Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), a technology compliance tester and consultancy for the gaming industry, says its laboratory facility in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, has been relocated to a new, larger site (pictured).
“The move was necessitated by GLI’s continually expanding operations, and the upgrade to a larger facility in South Melbourne physically positions GLI even closer to many of its customers,” the firm said in an announcement on Wednesday.
GLI opened its first laboratory facility in Melbourne in 2007, it noted in its release.
In Australia, GLI also operates laboratories in Adelaide, South Australia, and in Sydney, New South Wales.
According to the firm, GLI’s Melbourne lab offers a “full suite of services”, including iGaming and land-based gaming testing. It also provides casino management systems (CMS) testing, interoperability testing, and quality assurance.
The release quoted Richard Howarth, GLI’s chief business officer – Asia-Pacific, as saying: “We are excited about this next chapter as it strengthens our ability to meet our clients’ continually evolving needs.”
He added: “With these expert teams working together under one roof, we are better positioned than ever to deliver comprehensive solutions for today’s gaming industry.”
GLI has a global network of laboratory locations. In Asia, the firm has facilities in Tokyo, Japan, as well as in Macau.
According to previous reports, a unit of private equity firm CVC Capital Partners is in the process of acquiring-privately held GLI.
