International bookmaking services provider 1xBet says it will take part on Wednesday (November 12) in a Player Protection Day webinar, co-hosted with SBC Media. The brand will be represented by its strategic advisor Simon Westbury.
The webinar is part of Player Protection Week, and will discuss how operators and regulators can strengthen cooperation to deliver what 1xBet describes as “earlier, consistent, and effective” safeguards for players.
The session – “Strengthening the crucial relationship between operators and regulators” – will be hosted by Steve Hoare of the Player Protection Hub. As well as 1xBet’s advisor Mr Westbury, other panel members will be Peter Marcus, director of Marcon; and Anton Kaszubowski, director of advisory firm Greenlaw Ltd,
The update cited Mr Westbury as saying: “Operators and regulators ultimately want the same outcome: a safe, sustainable, and trusted marketplace. The challenge lies in turning shared intent into shared standards.”
As per the update, independent research from the International Player Safety Index: Western Europe found that 60 percent of operators rate player protection highly in their primary market; but 43 percent are unsatisfied and 26 percent uncertain about the quality currently, of regulatory guidance.
