Veteran gaming executive Dennis Andreaci (pictured left), currently senior vice president (SVP) for casino operations at Hann Casino Resort in the Philippines, is to retire on December 31, according to the firm.
Rod Hackman (pictured right), who serves as vice president for gaming operations, will assume Mr Andreaci’s role upon his departure, said the property’s promoter, Hann Philippines Inc.
Hann Casino Resort is a complex at Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, a two-hour drive from the Philippine capital, Manila.
Mr Andreaci has held senior executive positions with Las Vegas Sands Corp. They include the period that the Macau unit opened Sands Macao and The Venetian Macao. He also worked on the planning and development of Las Vegas Sands’ Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
He has also served as a senior executive at Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd’s Cotai resort Galaxy Macau; and at Bloomberry Resorts Corp’s Solaire Resort and Casino in Manila.
Before joining the Hann group, Mr Andreaci also collaborated with Spectrum Gaming Group LLC, a firm specialising in research and regulatory compliance services for the gaming industry.
Mr Hackman was until recently SVP for table games operations at Jeju Shinhwa World, a resort complex with a foreigner-only casino on South Korea’s holiday island of Jeju, according to his profile on social media network LinkedIn.
He was previously linked to PH Resorts Holdings Group Inc, the group behind the stalled Emerald Bay casino project on Cebu, in the Philippines. Before that, Mr Hackman also worked in Macau and spent eight years with the Marina Bay Sands complex in Singapore.
The Hann Casino Resort opened on Friday an expansion of its gaming venue, dubbed “The Canyon”.
Combined with the existing casino, the complex now offers a total of 1,721 slot machines, 274 table games, and 72 electronic games, according to its promoter.
The property’s expansion also involves construction of an InterContinental hotel, as well as the development of a 640-room hotel under the Novotel brand.
Hann Philippines is additionally developing the Hann Reserve property at New Clark City, Pampanga. The first facility at Hann Reserve – a golf course designed by former world number-one-ranked golfer Nick Faldo – is expected to open by February next year.
