Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI) has promoted Malvina Mikaelian and Reenesh Mahabeer to be senior directors of engineering.
The news from the specialist in technology testing, compliance and security for the global gaming industry was given in a Monday statement.
It said Ms Mikaelian (pictured left) has been with GLI for 22 years and is based in the Las Vegas, Nevada laboratory in the United States. Mr Mahabeer (pictured right) is based in GLI’s South Africa facility, and has worked for the group for just under 20 years.
As per the update, Ms Mikaelian had been involved in opening GLI’s South Africa and Las Vegas laboratories and has “led the technical group through the most dynamic advances in gaming technology”.
The announcement cited Andrea Bossard, GLI vice president of engineering, as saying: “Malvina brings a proven track record of technical leadership, operational excellence, and cross‑functional collaboration.”
In her new role, she will “lead strategic engineering initiatives, strengthen organisational execution, and help drive the next phase of innovation and growth for the global land-based division,” added Ms Bossard.
Mr Mahabeer has risen from senior engineer to his new role. GLI said he had “led his team through multiple changes in the South African gaming landscape, in both land-based and iGaming”.
Ginnie Hollis, GLI vice president of engineering, was cited as saying of Mr Mahabeer: “Reenesh is a trusted, exceptional leader driving our global digital initiatives and accelerating innovation in emerging technologies.
“He combines vast market and technical expertise to deliver global consistency and a world-class experience for our clients, while inspiring peers and empowering his team,” Ms Hollis added.
