PhilWeb announces debut of Hann Casino’s new online gaming platform

Philippines-listed gaming technology provider PhilWeb Corp announced on Thursday that the online gaming platform of Hann Casino Resort, dubbed Hann Online, is “now live”, following pre-launch work lasting just over two weeks.

On January 15, Hann Casino Resort and PhilWeb had announced a “strategic partnership” for the “operation and management” of Hann’s online gaming platform in the Philippines.

Hann Casino Resort, a complex at Clark Freeport Zone in the Philippines, is run by Hann Philippines Inc. Aside from a licence to offer live table and slot games, the firm also has a permit to promote eCasino games.

In Thursday’s press release, PhilWeb – a firm where the majority stake is changing hands –, said the launch of Hann Online “reinforces PhilWeb’s role as a regulated gaming infrastructure provider”.

“The platform was designed, built, and deployed … by PhilWeb within a two-week development and integration timeline, demonstrating the company’s ability to rapidly deliver secure and reliable gaming systems while meeting strict regulatory and operational standards,” PhilWeb stated.

The announcement cited PhilWeb’s president, Brian Ng (pictured), as saying: “This launch highlights our commitment to building the infrastructure that supports a stable, transparent, and responsible gaming industry.”

“Our ability to rapidly deploy a fully compliant platform while meeting the specific needs of Hann Casino reflects the strength of our technology, our people, and our long-term vision for the regulated gaming ecosystem,” he added.

According to the update, Hann Online features a library with “more than 3,000” games, supported by PhilWeb’s infrastructure and backend systems.

PhilWeb said the platform was “built around robust know-your-customer (KYC) processes and full compliance with Philippine government gaming regulations”.

That was to ensure that “player verification, data protection, and responsible gaming controls are embedded across all operational layers,” the firm added.

In mid-January, Hann Philippines had said that the collaboration with PhilWeb aimed to expand Hann Casino’s online gaming presence in the Philippines.
