Japanese-owned firm JCM Global says it has given a technical upgrade to 1,900 electronic gaming machines at a tribal gaming casino in Michigan in the United States, by adding JCM’s iVIZION bill validator (pictured in a file photo) to the products.
“With this upgrade, the entire casino floor” at Gun Lake Casino Resort (pictured) “is now protected by JCM’s iVIZION,” said the technology supplier – officially known as Japan Cash Machine Co Ltd – in a Monday statement.
Louis Van Belkum, director of slots at the property, was cited as saying: “We are excited to strengthen our partnership with JCM and bring the industry-leading iVIZION to our entire casino floor.”
Dave Kubajak, JCM’s senior vice president for sales, marketing and operations, said in prepared remarks: “This update is the latest step in our technology road map with Gun Lake, which will help the casino operate at maximum security, efficiency, and with the highest levels of customer service.”
JCM says iVIZION’s contact image sensor technology enhances security by scanning 75 times more data points than other bill validators.
Gun Lake’s casino floor also features JCM’s GEN5 thermal printer and the technology supplier’s ICB Intelligent Cash Box system.
The property, in West Michigan, is run by Gun Lake Tribal Gaming Authority, according to the resort’s website.
JCM recently announced it had made bill validator upgrades on over 1,400 games at another U.S. casino in California.
