Mark Yoseloff, a former chairman and chief executive of the legacy gaming technology supplier Shuffle Master Inc, has died.
The news was given in an update by the International Gaming Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in the United States, which said it was “deeply saddened” by the event.
Mr Yoseloff (pictured) was founding executive director of the university’s Center for Gaming Innovation, and held the post up until 2020. He had also taught at Princeton University, and held more than 60 U.S. patents, according to the announcement.
Light & Wonder Inc, which nowadays controls gaming technology – such as electronic card shufflers – originally developed under the Shuffle Master brand, said in a statement: “We are saddened by the passing of Mark Yoseloff, former CEO of Shuffle Master, and a driving force behind many of the innovative products that shaped our legacy.”
The International Gaming Institute said Mr Yoseloff had been appointed to head Shuffle Master in 1997, “a role he held for more than a decade”.
