The Okada Manila casino resort in the Philippine capital has expanded its premium gaming offering with the launch of “Ariake”, described as a new exclusive gaming club designed specifically for Japanese VIP guests.
The new gaming venue – located on the upper ground floor at the VIP Hotel Lobby, besides the Pearl Wing Lobby – forms part of the strategy to strengthen the resort’s appeal to international premium players, the property’s promoter said in a Tuesday press release.
Ariake features a selection of table games and “premium gaming machines”. The venue also offers a “private table games salon,” intended for more intimate gaming experiences, according to the announcement.
The gaming club is said to feature 24-hour dedicated membership counter and cage service, with the support from Japanese-speaking staff. The venue, including a bar and a “24-hour buffet dining service” featuring Japanese cuisine, can also be purposed for gatherings or other private events, per the update.
Okada Manila is promoted by Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc, a unit of Japanese conglomerate Universal Entertainment Corp.
Shirley Tam, executive vice president for casino marketing at Okada Manila, said in prepared remarks: “As we continue to evolve Okada Manila into a truly global integrated resort destination, we are deepening our focus on understanding and anticipating the unique preferences of our international guests, particularly the Japanese market.”
She added: “Ariake reflects our philosophy of thoughtful customisation, where we combine insight-driven design with cultural sensitivity to create experiences that feel both familiar and elevated.”
In mid-April, Okada Manila reported of a 17.2-percent year-on-year decline in its first-quarter casino gross gaming revenue (GGR), to PHP6.47 billion (US$108.1 million). The property’s first-quarter GGR tally was nonetheless up 9.1 percent compared with the fourth quarter of 2025.
