Global gaming and lottery supplier International Game Technology Plc (IGT) and U.S.-based casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp have completed what was dubbed as the “largest live electronic table game installation in the United States”.

The installation includes 150 of IGT’s Dynasty electronic table game (ETG) cabinets displayed in a stadium format and features live roulette and live baccarat games. It includes four live dealing tables, connected to the game terminals, enabling players to place electronically wagers on multiple games at the same time.

The installation – branded as Live Dealer Stadium Gaming (pictured) – went live on July 1. It is located at the Sands Bethlehem casino, in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, a property operated by Las Vegas Sands.

Las Vegas Sands also operates casinos in Asia, namely in Macau and Singapore.

“Developing the largest live ETG destination in the United States with our partners at Sands Bethlehem marks an important milestone for IGT,” Nick Khin, IGT senior vice president of sales, North American gaming and interactive, said in a prepared statement.

“Live Dealer Stadium Gaming is an exciting new addition that offers players a unique and customised experience,” Mark Juliano, president of Sands Bethlehem, said in a separate statement.

“Newcomers will find that electronic table games help eliminate the intimidation of joining a [traditional] table full of more experienced players, while those who are more advanced [in game knowledge] can enjoy faster dealing, and multi-game options on a 33-degree ergonomic screen. Bets as low as US$5 will be accepted,” Las Vegas Sands stated in a release.

In Asia, ETGs are becoming a popular gaming segment. Nearly 3,100 ETG seats are likely to be added to casino inventory across key Asia Pacific markets in the next three years – from a base of approximately 12,000 seats – said a May report from Union Gaming Securities Asia Ltd. The brokerage stated at the time that represented a business opportunity for equipment suppliers amounting to around US$62 million.
