Andy Chang has been appointed chief marketing officer for gaming at Okada Manila casino resort, a property being developed by Tiger Resort, Leisure and Entertainment Inc in the Philippine capital Manila.

“He will lead the marketing initiatives and strategic direction, focusing on local and international markets,” the firm stated in a press release issued earlier this month.

Mr Chang was involved in the pre-openings of the Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau casino resorts, run by Wynn Resorts Ltd. He also spent three years with Macau-based casino operator Sands China Ltd as executive vice-president.

Prior to joining Okada Manila, Mr Chang served as executive vice-president at Singapore’s Resorts World Sentosa, a property run by Genting Singapore Plc.

“As we get closer to the opening of our property, we need leaders like Andy with highly specialised skills in marketing and world-class experience,” Okada Manila chief operating officer Takahiro Usui said in a statement included in the press release.

Okada Manila (pictured in an artist’s rendering) is scheduled to open in November 2016. The property is located at Entertainment City in Manila.

Tiger Resort confirmed last month the departure of three executives from Okada Manila, including Matt Hurst, who was executive vice president casino operations and marketing. Senior marketing executives Bruce Himelfarb and Steve Chan were also confirmed to have left the project.
