Alfastreet’s new roulette to arrive Asia by year-end

Gaming equipment maker Alfastreet expects to launch its new roulette product in Asia by the end of the year, says sales director Albert Radman.

The new table (pictured in an artist’s rendering) will be showcased at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) trade exhibition, to take place from September 27 to September 29 in Las Vegas, in the United States.

“The new live wheel is set to be deployed immediately after the G2E Las Vegas show, with first units already allocated to casino venues in Northern Europe. Asian markets are expected to follow by the end of the year, considering [the] high interest in the product, and the application possibilities,” Mr Radman told GGRAsia.

A distinctive feature of the new roulette product is its futuristic-looking table layout. It has a curved betting grid, in the manner of table games such as baccarat and blackjack, rather than the traditional oblong-shaped or racetrack-style roulette betting grids.

“The company has been producing its own wheels for more than 25 years now, achieving the highest quality levels and boasting [an] experience of over 5,000 units [produced], tried and tested in casinos worldwide,” Mr Radman stated.

He added: “As is customary with Alfastreet products, [the] live wheel was made in close cooperation with our partners and customers, that contributed important guidelines for the project. It is expected to provide a valid alternative to the classic wheels in use, judging by the first reactions from the field.”

Alfastreet – a privately-held Slovenian manufacturer – previously said it has achieved good performance in Asia with its multi-player electronic gaming machines. At G2E in Las Vegas, the firm will also showcase the latest version of its R8 automated electronic roulette product.
