Casino equipment maker and lottery services provider Scientific Games Corp has acquired Red7Mobile Ltd. The latter is “a Bristol, U.K.-based firm that designs, develops and delivers innovative and award-winning mobile and desktop casino games and sports apps for real-money gaming partners,” Scientific Games said in a Monday press release.

The document added that “the acquisition provides Scientific Games with access to a large portfolio of mobile and interactive game titles, including slot games, instant win/scratch cards, and table games”.

Red7 also offers a range of sports betting software. The firm “has existing game, platform and sports partnerships with many of the industry’s leading online gaming and sports betting operators,” the release said.

“The acquisition of Red7 and its highly creative, talented team is a very positive development in Scientific Games interactive’s growth story,” stated Scientific Games’ group chief executive – interactive, Barry Cottle, quoted in Monday’s press release.

He added: “Many of Red7’s partners are also our partners, so we truly feel this is a win-win for all of our stakeholders. As we merge Red7’s content into our extensive game library, we will expand our U.K. retail and digital portfolio and be able to deliver even more compelling game content for the global digital real money gaming business.”

Scientific Games recorded year-on-year revenue growth of 6.4 percent in the first quarter of 2017, to US$725.4 million. The growth was led by a 32.6-percent increase in revenue from the firm’s interactive segment – to US$96.3 million – the Nasdaq-listed firm said in an April press release.
