Macau junket investor Meg-Star International has announced a new brand image that it says aims to represent the diversified portfolio of businesses of the group. The company will now use the name “Meg-Star Group”, the firm said in its latest release.

The announcement followed a Monday dinner held by Meg-Star International, featuring performances from several Hong Kong and mainland Chinese artists. At the event, Hong Kong artist Julian Cheung Chi Lam (pictured, left) was announced as the brand representative for Meg-Star Group.

Thomas Pang (pictured, centre) is the chief executive of Meg-Star Group.

“Meg-Star Group has expanded its business to overseas markets, to cover high-end travel and VIP entertainment service, real estates, aircraft leasing, premium retail, information technology, cultural art, food and beverages, red wine distribution and more,” the release stated.

“Meg-Star Group … will continue leveraging its resources to the premium market, and will strive to demonstrate a corporate model in the community,” the junket investor noted in the release. The VIP gaming services, branded as Meg-Star International, is part of the Meg-Star Group, the firm separately confirmed to GGRAsia.

Meg-Star International has mentioned previously that it was preparing for “two new openings” of high-roller clubs in Macau this year – one to be located at MGM Cotai, promoted by MGM China Holdings Ltd; and another at City of Dreams Macau, a Cotai casino resort promoted by Melco Resorts and Entertainment Ltd. The opening dates for the two new clubs is yet to be disclosed.
