Michael Barsin, sales manager South East Asia for Ainsworth Game Technology Ltd, says the Australia-listed slot machine maker is aiming to help Asian casino operators “future-proof” their slot floors through new hardware capable of running multiple game formats. He also highlighted the regional debut of “Double Dragons” (pictured above), which he described as one of the company’s most anticipated new releases.
Mr Barsin stated in an interview with GGRAsia: “We have updated our A849 A-Star Raptor cabinet – our 49-inch curved-screen model – to feature a hybrid technology. This allows casino operators to run both dual-screen and portrait content seamlessly on the exact same cabinet.”
“For our customers in Asia, this completely future-proofs their gaming floors. It removes traditional development barriers: whether a game comes from our U.S. studios or our Australian studios, operators will be able to run it effortlessly on their existing hardware,” he stated.
“Our core strategy is always to bring our top-performing global titles into Asia alongside highly tailored, Asia-specific games, and this cabinet upgrade makes that execution seamless,” Mr Barsin said. He was speaking at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia 2026 casino industry trade show and conference held in Macau.
Ainsworth Game said that it showcased at G2E Asia this year its “robust” product pipeline for the remainder of 2026 going into 2027.
Mr Barsin stated: “Our goal is to demonstrate to our customers that we don’t just have a fantastic cabinet, but we have the exact right games to support it. We have an incredibly solid pipeline of slot games ready to follow and support this hardware.”
In terms of new games, the sales manger said the company was “leading” its new portfolio rollout with Double Dragons.
“This title has already delivered tremendous performance in Australia, consistently tracking at over two times the floor average in New South Wales and Queensland. It has been exceptionally well received by both our operator customers and the players themselves,” Mr Barsin explained.
He added: “It is a highly-volatile game featuring fantastic dragon art, but while it features a very volatile math model, the core features remain incredibly simple for the player to understand. The ‘chase’ in this game is fantastic.
“Ainsworth is putting a major effort into creating games that genuinely stand out from what else is available in the market. We’ve designed unique features specifically targeting the high-volatility segment, which is highly evident in Double Dragons.”
‘Loot Express’, ‘San Fa’
The sales manager also introduced the company’s “Loot Express” family of slot games shown during G2E Asia.
He stated: “Loot Express, brings something entirely unique to the traditional hold-and-spin mechanic through innovative credit collection features. In markets like the Philippines, you have a distinct split: players who crave high-volatility, and an entertainment-driven segment that wants a great experience. Loot Express perfectly fills that entertainment-driven segment.”
Mr Barsin also noted: “Beyond our core markets, we are very excited to be bringing Double Dragons to the South Korean market in the near future. Other regions like Cambodia and Vietnam have also shown immense interest in both Double Dragons and San Fa”.
He explained: “We previously showcased San Fa at G2E Asia @ Philippines. We are presenting it again here, but with a specific focus tailored for the Macau market, now fully optimised with Chinese translations enabled.”
Per the company’s corporate material, “San Fa Pandas” and “San Fa Tigers” feature coin-triggered bonus games, sticky wilds and extra free games. Players can trigger up to three features simultaneously.

In terms of work across the Asia-Pacific region for the rest of 2026, Mr Barsin noted: “We have ‘Triple Troves’ coming to the Philippines very soon.”
Triple Troves (pictured above) is from Ainsworth Game’s Nevada game studio in the United States, and offers a two-series theme: “Reigning Rhino” and “Dragon’s Delight”. Features include a ‘match three to win’ mechanic, and three-tier progressives.”
Mr Barsin noted: “Additionally, we have ‘Five Fortunes’. This is an engaging five-pot game that will also be heavily targeting the Philippines market to cater to their diverse player demographics. We have a lot of content and we are excited to bring the games to market.”
