The Resorts World Genting casino complex in Malaysia, run by Genting Malaysia Bhd, says it brought “festive cheer and meaningful experiences” to underprivileged children thanks to a recent event.
The special corporate social responsibility initiative, dubbed Jom Lepak Open Hause, was held in late March, in conjunction with the resort’s Jom Raya Kaw Kaw 2026 celebrations, according to a recent press release.
The initiative for the children saw 32 youngsters from Malaysia’s charity group Badan Amal Nur Zaharah, welcomed for an outing at the resort. The children were invited to take part in a Cloudco Entertainment’s Care Bears themed celebration at the complex.
The trip featured a cable car ride and a visit to the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park, followed by a series of other activities, including meet-and-greet sessions with “Cheer Bear” and “Grumpy Bear”.
“These thoughtfully designed activities brought smiles and laughter, creating a joyful experience that allowed the children to fully immerse themselves in the Raya atmosphere,” said the resort’s promoter.
The casino group stated that the Jom Lepak Open Hause event reflected Resorts World Genting’s “commitment to giving back to the community while embracing the values of kindness, generosity and togetherness that define the Hari Raya season,” a period to mark a major Islamic festival.
“The Care Bears collaboration reinforced these values, adding warmth, positivity and a little extra magic to the children’s day,” the update added.
