Philippine casino operator Bloomberry Resorts Corp announced on Monday the resignation of Cyrus Sherafat as executive vice president and head of gaming, effective from August 31, 2026. Mr Sherafat (pictured) also oversees the group’s online platform.

“Cyrus Sherafat tendered his resignation [on] April 30, 2026… for personal reasons,” stated the casino group in a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange.

The group runs the Solaire Resort & Casino at Entertainment City in the Philippine capital. In May 2024, Bloomberry launched its US$1.0-billion Solaire Resort North complex in Quezon City, outside Metro Manila.

Mr Sherafat joined Bloomberry in March 2014 as senior vice president of casino marketing. He has been serving as Bloomberry’s head of gaming since July 2022.

Before joining the Philippine casino operator, Mr Sherafat was for more than four years with Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd, the Las Vegas Sands Corp’s unit that runs Marina Bay Sands casino complex in Singapore.

Bloomberry posted a net loss of about PHP2.65 billion (US$43.1 million) in 2025, compared with a net profit of PHP2.58 billion a year earlier. The firm reported gross gaming revenue of nearly PHP59.8 billion last year, down from PHP61.7 billion in 2024.
