Philippines-listed DigiPlus Interactive Corp says the group mobilised a total of PHP8-million (US$135,379) worth of disaster-relief supplies to help various communities affected by an earthquake and two strong typhoons in the latter part of 2025.
The effort was conducted by DigiPlus’ social development arm, DigiPlus Foundation (formerly known as BingoPlus Foundation), and was carried out in coordination with local government units and mobilisation partners, according to a recent press release.
It helped “nearly 70,000 Filipinos rebuild their lives across Visayas and other severely-affected provinces in Luzon,” via the group’s “BayanihanPlus” Community Resilience Programme.
The DigiPlus Foundation said it “reached an estimated 56,000 individuals affected by the magnitude 6.9 earthquake in Northern Cebu,” with relief operations covering six of the hardest-hit locations.
The organisation also expanded its relief operations to address the severe impacts of typhoons Tino and Uwan, which brought heavy rains, floods, and landslides to Cebu and strong winds and widespread flooding to Luzon, the country’s main island.
“The Foundation quickly coordinated with local government units to deliver essential aid to an estimated 14,350 affected individuals across targeted communities” in Luzon and Cebu, it stated.
The announcement cited Angela Camins-Wieneke, executive director of DigiPlus Foundation, as saying: “The scale of devastation from the recent typhoons Tino and Uwan demanded an even greater collective response to deliver hope to affected communities.”
She added: “Working with our BingoPlus store volunteers and partners on the ground, we have already mobilized around PHP8 million in relief, but to truly help communities rebuild their lives, we need more support.”
The DigiPlus Foundation said it would continue working with local governments, partners, and its nationwide network of BingoPlus stores to support affected communities across the country, “from immediate relief to long-term recovery and resilience”.
