Abbiati adds new security features to casino currency

Abbiati Casino Equipment – a specialist in casino currency and table games equipment – will showcase its latest products at G2E Asia 2015.

“Asia is an extremely vibrant market for us and is strategically very important as our business continues to expand and develop,” said Giorgio Abbiati, the firm’s chief executive.

Its show offer will include a new line of casino chips, plaques and jetons that the firm says incorporate “innovative security features” to prevent counterfeiting.

“The innovations we’ll be presenting this year are the result of extensive research and development projects that we have carried out both internally with our engineers as well as with our partner suppliers,” said Giovanni Abbiati, president of Abbiati Casino Equipment.

“Our company has an increasing Asian focus and we have been working hard to meet the demanding needs of Asian customers who require reliable and state-of-the-art products,” he added.

The new range includes new patterns, designs and materials for the plaques as well as a new line of patented chips featuring multiple mould injections, see-through inserts and a combination of “intricate and innovative rim and edge inserts”, according to Abbiati.

All new products are available with a range of security features including 13.56 MHz RFID (radio frequency identification) tags, eight-colour pigments viewable under ultraviolet (UV) light, a three-in-one UV security feature, laser tracer technology, optical variable ink and high security holograms.

Abbiati Casino Equipment will also exhibit a blackjack table – manufactured using special composite materials – and demonstrate a special baccarat table that enables the use of a video screen player interface.

The firm will additionally exhibit its Gaming Laboratories International LLC certified American roulette wheel, which incorporates the upgraded Abbiati patented invisible laser technology. Abbiati wheels can connect to and run winning number displays, online gaming terminals and management systems, according to the firm.

Abbiati says that due to an open technology protocol, its American roulette wheels have become the preferred choice for many of the leading online gaming operators.

“Due to the expansion of the online gaming operations in Asia, we believe our American roulette laser wheel will attract a significant number of show visitors,” added Giorgio Abbiati. Along with the wheel, Abbiati will present its range of multimedia winning number displays.

The company is also the exclusive worldwide distributor for Modiano playing cards, and will display a complete range of plastic-coated and paper and plastic-coated playing cards. They include card products with new security features such as tracking mechanisms and barcodes that are designed to meet the security requirements of online gaming operators.

Abbiati – based near Turin in Italy – says it is continuing its collaboration with industry consultant Christophe Leparoux and his firm Golden Cathay Consulting. Abbiati adds that the relationship “plays a very significant role in the continued expansion of the company within the important Asian markets”.

Abbiati Casino Equipment is at stand 1139.
