Global Gaming Women (GGW) has announced fresh membership targets for 2026 and introduced a series of activities and merchandise to mark the organisation’s 10th anniversary, according to a recent press release.
U.S.-based GGW is a non-profit organisation set up to “support, inspire, and influence” the professional development of women in the gaming sector. It brings together women from all gaming-business segments “to enrich their professional and personal lives,” according to its website.
The organisation said it has introduced “elevated membership targets,” expecting to “reach the 10,000-member mark” this year.
The announcement cited GGW president and board chair, Siobhan Lane, as saying: “For the last 10 years, Global Gaming Women has positively influenced the lives and careers of thousands of women in the gaming industry through education, mentorship and training.”
Ms Lane, who is group chief executive of gaming at casino equipment and technology Light & Wonder Inc, added: “As we celebrate GGW’s accomplishments and journey to its current state, we are laser focused on scaling our reach and impact while developing the next generation of women in gaming.”
GGW stated that throughout 2026, it would lead a “range of initiatives” to mark its 10th anniversary, and “advance the organisation’s mission”.
As part of those initiatives, GGW launched a “commemorative content series” highlighting some of the “moments and influencers in the organisation’s history”.
The body also launched a commemorative logo and a range of branded, anniversary merchandise to mark the occasion.
Founded in 2016, GGW says it currently has more than 9,000 members across 70 countries.
According to the update, the organisation said it provided more than US$840,000 in educational scholarships last year, and facilitated 14 in-person training programmes, while “significantly” expanding its peer-to-peer and professional mentorship programmes.
