Gaming equipment maker and content provider International Game Technology Plc (IGT) has announced the first installations of its new “RISE55” slot cabinet. According to the company, the product “is now live” on casino floors across the U.S. market.
The “RISE55” cabinet had its world premiere last April at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention 2025, in San Diego, California, in the United States.
Installations of the new cabinet across the U.S. started in late May, “with additional deployments planned through the summer,” said IGT in a Tuesday press release.
“With robust, performance-focused content roadmaps for the premium-leased and for-sale game segments, IGT’s RISE55 cabinet debuted with the highly entertaining ‘Magic Treasures Gold’ game,” stated the gaming supplier.
The RISE55 cabinet (pictured) features an ultra-high-definition 55-inch screen, as well as “state-of-the-art lighting, and advanced ergonomics,” according to the company.
The Magic Treasures Gold title is a multi-level progressive game, which the firm described as an evolution of its ‘Magic Treasures’ theme.
Magic Treasures Gold has two base game themes, ‘Emperor’ and ‘Empress’, each with a unique bonus event, free games and cash spins respectively, and five jackpot levels, according to the announcement.
The release cited Nick Khin, IGT’s president for global gaming, as saying: “The RISE55 cabinet was crafted with the highest considerations for performance, comfort and serviceability, and is supported by a strong portfolio of multi-level progressive games.”
The company also said it released this month “for-sale core titles” on the RISE55 cabinet, including the “Treasure Blast” and “Wolf Run Wild Moon” games.
IGT is in the process of selling its gaming and digital interests to funds managed by affiliates of private equity firm Apollo Global Management Inc for US$4.05 billion. The deal is “expected to close by the end of the third quarter” this year, as previously outlined.
Funds affiliated with Apollo will simultaneously acquire gaming technology supplier Everi Holdings Inc, paying US$14.25 per share in cash.
Fitch Ratings Inc said in a Monday note that it expected the combined IGT/Everi entity to have a higher slots sales market share in North America than some other market rivals, including Light & Wonder Inc and Aristocrat Leisure Ltd.
