Interblock, GameCo form product innovation advisory panel

Gaming suppliers Interblock DD and GameCo Inc have joined efforts to establish a casino advisory panel to recommend industry best practices for the adoption of new product innovation.

The group includes several senior executives from the casino gaming industry, Interblock and GameCo said in a joint press release.

Interblock is a specialist in the supply of casino electronic table games. GameCo is a maker of skill-based video game gambling machines.

The Innovation Adoption Advisory Panel (IAAP) aims “to further spur continued innovation in casino gaming product development and commercialisation,” the release stated.

“Industry topics being considered by the IAAP include many disciplines that impact the casino gaming floor including floor optimisation, player marketing, game development, demographic-based guest engagement, and casino gaming floor utilisation and analysis,” the release stated.

A white paper will be released in mid-September providing a summary of the panel’s insights and recommendations so far.

“One of our primary goals in forming the IAAP is to study how the industry as a whole can bring innovative solutions to the market at a faster pace while at the same time making it easier for players to feel comfortable with new forms of gaming entertainment as quickly as possible,” said John Connelly, global chief executive of Interblock.

“We expect to have a broad range of ideas that can help guide the industry on effective strategies for developing and adopting new gaming technology solutions,” he added.

Commenting on the formation of the IAAP, GameCo co-founder and chief executive Blaine Graboyes said a critical goal of the casino gaming industry was to “increase players’ overall value and entertainment experience”.

He added: “With the IAAP, we have brought together thought leaders with many years of industry experience and success to provide their insights to accelerate the adoption of innovative new gaming technologies.”

IAAP members include: Greg Carlin, chief executive of Rush Street Gaming LLC; Brian Eby, executive vice president of operations and chief innovation officer of Jack Entertainment LLC; Todd Eilers, principal at Eilers and Krejcik Gaming LLC; David Farahi, chief operating officer of Monarch Casino and Resort Inc; Felix Rappaport, president and chief executive of Foxwoods Resort Casino; and Scott Schweinfurth, former chief financial officer of Scientific Games Corp.
