Electronic casino table game supplier Interblock DD has promoted Michael Hu (pictured) to the role of vice president of Asia for the firm. He was previously sales director of Asia. He will continue to be responsible for all sales activities in the region, but have an enhanced role leading the company’s expansion effort there.

“Michael’s promotion to vice president of Asia is a reflection of our commitment to expand and support our business in Asia,” said John Connelly, chief executive of Interblock, in a statement contained in the press release announcing the new appointment.

Mr Connelly added: “He [Michael Hu] has been a major contributor to the growth and foundation of Interblock’s electronic table game footprint throughout the region for more than ten years. His commitment to Interblock and our customers continues to surpass our expectations, and I look forward to his continued success in the future.”

Before joining Interblock, Mr Hu was Asia sales manager for casino equipment supplier TCSJohnHuxley Australia Pty Ltd, where he managed and developed sales strategies. He has also served as Asia sales executive at Australia-based Indo Pacific Gaming, a company that distributes live casino table games and slot machines to Asian and Australasian markets.

A report in May from Union Gaming Securities Asia Ltd said Interblock was the dominant supplier of electronic table games in the Philippines market.
