BMM Innovation Group has appointed John Helderman (pictured) as chief financial and administrative officer, the company said in a Wednesday announcement.
The firm – also known as ‘BIG’ – works on product compliance testing, training, and cybersecurity for the global gaming industry.
Mr Helderman is said to have more than two decades of experience in executive roles in the gaming, finance, hospitality, and non-profit sectors.
Before joining BMM Innovation Group, Mr Helderman served as chief financial officer of Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a US$1-billion resort in Nevada in the United States, where he was in charge of accounting, information technology, and procurement and was licensed as a key executive by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Martin Storm, BMM Innovation Group chief executive, was quoted as saying: “John’s deep financial expertise and operational leadership make him an outstanding addition to the BIG executive team.”
The group CEO added: “He has a strong track record of aligning financial strategy with organisational growth and creating value across complex, multi-entity businesses. His leadership will be important as we continue to expand our services and technology footprint.”
Mr Helderman said in prepared remarks: “I’m excited to help refine BIG’s strategies, systems, and processes and build on the momentum that’s already driving BIG’s growth worldwide.”
BMM Innovation Group says it has business operations and gaming laboratories in the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, South Africa, Peru, Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, and Poland, as well as in the Macau Special Administrative Region of China.
Privately-held BMM Innovation Group said in mid-April that its BMM Testlabs is to be acquired by The Visualize Group, a U.S.-based private equity firm. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, and the transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, stated BMM at the time.
