Kangwon Land Inc, operator of Kangwon Land (pictured), the only South Korean casino resort permitted to serve local players, launched today (July 25) – on two tables at the venue – a new proprietary card game branded “Triple”.
It is described as a fast-paced three-card game. For its introductory phase, the highest available payout ratio on bets will be 3 to 1, according to information provided to GGRAsia.
GGRAsia has learned there are no current plans to licence Triple to other operators, but understands from enquiries, that Triple has gained interim approval from South Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which is valid through to June 2026.
In February, Grand Korea Leisure Co Ltd (GKL) went live with a proprietary new card game called BROG.
GKL runs three foreigner-only casinos in South Korea under the Seven Luck brand.
