LT Game Ltd has told GGRAsia it is looking to develop further business in Sri Lanka after providing a full suite of its electronic table game (ETG) product and a number of slot games to that country’s Majestic Pride Casino, located in the Colombo Lotus Tower in the capital.
“We are allocating resources to develop more [casino] games that are fitting for Sri Lanka, as well as the broader Southeast Asian market,” said Eddie Au, LT Game’s chief operating officer, in comments to GGRAsia. Such regional expansion would help “tap into a fresh segment of players,” he noted.
The Sri Lanka casino market has received international publicity recently with news that a major international brand – Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd – will next month open City of Dreams Sri Lanka in Colombo.
At Majestic Pride Casino, LT Game has supplied its multi-game ETG suite “House of Play”, in stadium format, said Mr Au.
As part of the setup, players can wager respectively on: a virtual horse racing game; a virtual version of the subcontinent’s popular card game Andar Bahar; a fully-automated roulette game; and a robot-dealt baccarat game.
“From what we gathered in Sri Lanka, the players’ preferences are… Andar Bahar; roulette, and slot games,” Mr Au stated.
For the ETG suite of games at Majestic Pride Casino, bets can be made either via the stadium’s individual player terminals, or via mobile tablets provided at the gaming venue.
“The tablet-play format, in particular, is our fresh solution. Hopefully we can introduce this style of play across more markets in Southeast Asia,” said Mr Au.
In addition to the ETG stadium setup, LT Game has also launched its slot-style sic bo game “Mori Dice”, and its card comparison game “Super Bull” at Majestic Pride Casino, plus a range of its slot games, according to Mr Au.
The ETG suite and slot games have already gone through about a month of trial operations, the LT Game COO stated.
He also remarked: “We hope that in the second half of this year, we will be able to launch more products in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian markets.”
