The Marina Bay Sands casino resort in Singapore says it will be hosting a career fair on March 15 and 16, with “over 1,000 full-time, part-time and internship positions … available across more than 25 departments”.

The roles include work as butlers, food and drink specialists, graphic designers, housekeepers, mall concierge agents and security officers.

The property said in a Monday press release that “anchoring” this year’s career fair – to be held at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre – was the ‘ASPIRE programme’.

It is described as a “24 -month accelerated leadership” system for fresh graduates to be developed into “junior leaders in 10 different career tracks spanning hotel operations, convention services, food and beverage operations, culinary, and security services”.

According to the update, successful candidates will be placed into their chosen operational track by July 2026 , and be involved in and receive, “structured rotational training, mentorship”, and “career dialogues as well as networking and corporate projects” throughout a 24-month period spent with Marina Bay Sands.

Chan Yit Foon, senior vice president of human resources at Marina Bay Sands, was quoted as saying: “We are investing in a workforce that will carry us into our next era – one defined by agility, innovation and an enduring commitment to excellence.”

Marina Bay Sands is one half of Singapore’s casino duopoly, and is run by Marina Bay Sands Pte, a unit of Las Vegas Sands Corp, the latter the parent of Macau casino operator Sands China Ltd.

The other Singapore complex is Resorts World Sentosa, run by Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd, a unit of Genting Singapore Ltd.

The respective operating companies of Singapore’s two casino resorts and the city-state’s gaming regulator were ranked among the country’s top-300 employers for career opportunities and employee mobility by the inaugural Singapore Opportunity Index (SOI).
