Singapore casino resort Marina Bay Sands says it continues to strengthen its “commitment to nurturing Singapore’s arts and culture ecosystem,” as it reinforces its role “as a leading platform for artistic exchange and cultural dialogue”.
The complex hosted from January 22 to 31 the fourth edition of “Where Art Takes Shape”, as part of “Singapore Art Week 2026”.
“From Southeast Asia’s premier art fair, ART SG, to bold exhibitions at ArtScience Museum and art-inspired culinary creations,” Where Art Takes Shape linked “art, food and culture into a seamless journey designed to connect, inspire and transform,” stated Marina Bay Sands.
Marina Bay Sands – one half of Singapore’s casino duopoly – is run by Marina Bay Sands Pte Ltd, a unit of Las Vegas Sands Corp.
“At Marina Bay Sands, we are committed to championing artistic expression through thoughtfully curated experiences that engage diverse audiences,” said Irene Lin, the complex’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer (Resort Marketing).
She added: “Through this festival, we are proud to be a part of Singapore Art Week’s vision and to contribute to strengthen Singapore’s standing as a leading global destination for arts and culture.”
According to the promoter, ART SG this year co-hosted “S.E.A. Focus”. It is described as “a curated, homegrown platform dedicated to Southeast Asian contemporary art,” which brought together “over 100 leading international galleries from more than 30 countries”.
ART SG welcomed over 43,000 visitors at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, as per the update.
Magnus Renfrew, co-founder of ART SG, said in a separate release: “The fourth edition of ART SG has surpassed our expectations, reflecting not only the strength of Singapore as a hub for contemporary art but also the vibrancy and diversity of Southeast Asia’s artistic landscape.”
He added: “With the addition of S.E.A. Focus and dynamic exchanges with galleries, collectors, and institutions worldwide, we are excited by the fair’s growing role in connecting the region to the global art community.”
Where Art Takes Shape also featured film screenings, exhibitions and “culinary creations shaped by art, said the promoter.
