Casino developer Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd and the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau (UGAMM) organised a special UGAMM-edition of the “Heart-of-House SME Roadshow”.
The event, aimed at supporting the city’s small- and medium-sized (SMEs), was held in July across the group’s City of Dreams, Studio City and Altira Macau properties.
Co-organised by the community services digital platform “Enjoytown Macau”, Melco Resorts said the event aimed to provide its employees with “high-quality local products and to promote Macau’s local merchants and economic prosperity”.
According to the update, the “Enjoytown Macau” platform gathered “40 quality merchants” to participate in the event. The merchants represented a variety of categories including food and drink, daily necessities, and electrical appliances.
Chan Ka Leong, UGAMM director-general, said in a speech, that the cooperation between UGAMM and Melco Resorts not only reflected the organisations’ efforts to support Macau’s SMEs, “but also demonstrated a deeper connection with the community”.
The announcement cited Akiko Takahashi, Melco Resorts’ executive vice president, as saying: “Melco has long been committed to the community’s sustainable development. This important collaboration with UGAMM showcases Melco’s support for Macau’s local SMEs.”
